Thyroid problems
The thyroid gland produces hormones that regulate growth, maturation and metabolism. An overactive thyroid produces symptoms such as disturbed bowel movements, insomnia, increased appetite accompanied by weight loss, high blood pressure, nervousness and a faster heartbeat. On the other hand, an underactive thyroid can be identified by exhaustion.
Since the thyroid gland controls energy and metabolic functions, this also causes malfunctioning of sugar and fat metabolisms, mental alertness, breathing and heart rate. Thyroid problems should be diagnosed by a consulting physician.
