Garlic
Garlic – allium sativum, is a herb used for food flavouring and is one of the oldest cultivated plants. Its principle active ingredients are allicin and ajoene. In addition to these, it is rich in nutritional content, including amino acids, sulphur, copper, iron, calcium, magnesium, selenium and zinc. Garlic has been shown to have anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic functions.
