Lamberts Omega 3,6,9 1200mg is a unique formula that provides exceptional levels of the omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, plus 5ug of vitamin D. Scientific research has established that the omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids are essential in the diet, and whilst the omega 9 fatty acids are not classified as essential, a supplement containing the correct balance of all three can be useful for many.
As a clinically-led formula, Omega 3,6,9 provides 379mg of omega 3s derived from a concentrated, sustainably-sourced fish oil, rather than the less well absorbed alpha linolenic acid source used by many companies. Clinical studies have shown that omegas 3s are used by the body in countless ways, including in the following;
DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision* and brain function.*
Both DHA and EPA contribute to the normal function of the heart** and to the maintenance of normal blood pressure.***
Responsible sourcing is at the heart of the Lamberts ethos, and as such, our fish oil products have achieved certification by the leading, industry-recognised body, Friends of the Sea. Their mission is one we share, to protect aquatic resources by means of promoting sustainable practices. In addition to this, as a second checkpoint, Lamberts also ensures that the suppliers we use are members of the industry organisation GOED (Global Organisation for EPA and DHA). Their focus is on the quality of products that reach end consumers.
Pure grade starflower (borage) oil provides the source for the omega 6 fatty acids, with each capsule providing 66mg of the all-important Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA), together with 125mg of linoleic acid (LA). We've chosen natural olive oil as our source of the omega 9 fatty acid, oleic acid, with each capsule supplying an impressive 200mg. Omega 3,6,9 is completed by the inclusion of 5ug of vitamin D - supporting the normal function of the immune system.
